Nothing actually worth paying for in this book

This is a quickly written very short book that is more like a blog post than a book. It speakes to IoT at a VERY high level and does not go into much depth (35 pages worth, about 20 of which have any actual content). The author has 47 other titles to her name (according to a page in the book) and clearly seems to write very short pieces on hot topics to make a quick buck. In context of having paid for and read the book, the reviews seem clearly fake.

This book offers an insightful translation and commentary, elucidating numerous cryptic Bible references. For example, it explains the powerful king-giants in Genesis as children of fallen angels. It characterizes the 4 holy angels who sit on the sides on God's throne, which Ezekiel reported in a vision. It also elucidates the pre-existent, heavenly "Son of man" who has righteousness, etc. Finally, it describes Enoch's trip to heaven (recall that the Bible claims that God "took him") where he encounters wondrous trees of heavenly fragrance, like the Tree of Life and the trees whose leaves heal the nations.

About the Author

Haijiang Wang is a senior research officer, manager of multiprojects, and the core competency leader of the Unit Fuel Cell Team in the National Research Council Canada Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation (NRC-IFCI). He is also an adjunct professor at five universities, including the University of British Columbia and the University of Waterloo. With 25 years of experience in electrochemistry and fuel cell technology, Dr. Wang has published more than 100 journal and conference papers and has been issued three patents. His research focuses on novel fuel cell design and materials as well as fuel cell diagnosis and durability.

Xiao-Zi Yuan is a research officer and project leader of the Unit Fuel Cell Team in the National Research Council Canada Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation (NRC-IFCI). Dr. Yuan has published more than 80 journal and conference papers and holds five patents in China. Her research focuses on PEM fuel cell design, testing, diagnosis, and durability.

Hui Li is a research council officer and technical leader for the PEM Fuel Cell Failure Mode Analysis project and PEM Fuel Cell Contamination Consortium in the National Research Council Canada Institute for Fuel Cell Innovation (NRC-IFCI). Dr. Li has coauthored more than 30 journal papers and has technology licensed to the Mantra Energy Group. Her research focuses on PEM fuel cell contamination and durability testing, the preparation and development of electrochemical catalysts with long-term stability, catalyst layer/cathode structure, and catalyst layer characterization and electrochemical evaluation.

I just received this and I have to say it is the BEST cookbook I have every purchased. The content of the recipes is outstanding and the format of the book is so easy to follow. It is FILLED with color pictures of the foods and each one looks more appetizing than the page before. Wow.I can't wait to make every thing in it. I also have the AP on my phone and it is fantastic too. I was so pleased with the AP that I wanted the book too. It is more expensive than your average cook book but is worth every penny! if you want to prepare healthy, super delicious meals don't hesitate to get this book and the AP too!

I am disappointed to find recipes in this book which cater to ...

I have many of Jason's other books and videos, and had expected this book to follow the very healthy, plant-based program which his juicing and smoothie recipes offer. I am disappointed to find recipes in this book which cater to the cheese-eating and fish-eating readers. I am vegan and although there are a couple of vegan recipes, they are nothing special and certainly not worth the price of a book promoting unhealthy eating habits.
This book is going back and I will use the money to purchase a book more in line with my ethics.

About the Author
Dr. Marie Boyle received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Southern Maine and her M.S. and Ph.D. in nutrition from Florida State University. She is author of PERSONAL NUTRITION and coauthor of COMMUNITY NUTRITION IN ACTION: AN ENTREPRENEURIAL APPROACH. Dr. Boyle is a professor of nutrition, chairperson of the Foods and Nutrition Department, and director of the Graduate Program in Nutrition at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, New Jersey. She also teaches online distance courses in public health nutrition for the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Her other professional activities include membership in the American Public Health Association, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, as well as serving as an author and reviewer for the latter two organizations. She coauthored the current position paper of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on Food and Nutrition Security in Developing Nations, and serves as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Hunger and Environmental Nutrition from Taylor & Francis Publishers.

SARA LONG ROTH, PhD, RD, is Professor in the Department of Animal Science, Food and Nutrition and Director, Didactic Program in Dietetics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Prior to obtaining her PhD in health education, she practiced as a clinical dietitian for 11 years. Her specialty areas are medical nutrition therapy, nutrition education, and food and nutrition assessment. She is an active leader in national, state, and district dietetic association's where she has served in numerous elected and appointed positions, including the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education, and Commission on Dietetic Registration. Dr. Long is coauthor of Understanding Nutrition Therapy and Pathophysiology, Medical Nutrition Therapy: A Case Study Approach, Foundations and Clinical Applications of Nutrition: A Nursing Approach, and Essentials of Nutrition and Diet Therapy. Dr. Long has received various awards and honors for teaching, including Outstanding Dietetic Educator (ADA) and Outstanding Educator for the College of Agricultural Sciences.

a very fun and informative ready. Also a book that carries along well.i.e. does not get boring and repetitive and is not dry, very interesting to read and the side bar contains all the highlights of the chapter.i would recommend for anyone looking at buying an introduction to human nutrition

Unifies cosmology, geology, biology in one continuous tale

The concept is cute - trace "the life of an oxygen atom" from the big bang to life on earth. From reading this book you get an amazing series of new "aha's" and interests in further science topics to read.

Lawrence Kraus is one of those real-life physicists who likes to communicate the latest details of their science to the rest of us. As a physics major who moved on to a career in business but never lost their fascination for science, I love that!

The beauty of "Atom" is it unifies cosmology, geology, and biology in one tale. Krauss includes the latest on how the first seeds of life are thought to have evolved (e.g., on meteorites that crashed into earth). He reminds us that we are all made of stardust (i.e., carbon and heavier elements that were forged in ancient stars which then went nova, spreading their material universe wide for new stars, planets, and beings).

I never realized how many times a solar system could start to coalesce only to be blown about again. Ditto the conditions on what is to eventually be Earth. Kruass' discussion of what was going on with Earth while the poor meteorite was trying to land triggered me to follow up next with a great book on geology.

One caveat: he's a tad wordy but it's worth it because he includes the details that other popularizations leave out. Now it's in paperback woot!
