A Forgotten Gem from the Past

Don't be put off by the negative review of this book. He is a scientific materialist, and if that is not your worldview, then those comments are irrelevant. For those of us for whom UFOs and advanced extraterrestrial and extra-dimensional civilizations are a reality, this book is an amazing glimpse into an enlightened network of UFO explorers. Through their open minds and curiosity they were led to understand that we have been and are being visited by advanced humans and other beings from our own dimension or frequency, as well as from other dimensions. The valiant attempts by Venusians and others to dissuade us from our nuclear weapon madness in the early 50's were documented by these early contactees and explorers. There are a number of multiple witness accounts of Venusians visiting earth in physical form. Contactees often then find themselves receiving telepathic communication, either in the presence of the visitors or not. Other extraterrestrial beings may only use telepathy. The Reeves (and others) report that ETs have used radio communications as well. These early investigators and contactees were ridiculed, persecuted, and attacked. Their reputations were smeared with disinformation. That continues today coming from the scientific materialist worldview subscribers (or perhaps from paid disinformers, who have an investment in keeping the truth hidden.) New paradigms are never greeted warmly by the old guard. I believe one day we shall recognize these UFO pioneers as heroes, as we now see Galileo and Giordano Bruno. The current surfacing of the Amicizia case in Italy affirms the attempts made in the U.S. and elsewhere by benevolent visitors to try to steer us away from our destructive ways. They continue to try to assist us in our emotional and spiritual evolution so that we can find our way to a future without war, poverty or illness. It has happened out there, but it is not an easy or assured transition. Helen and Bryant Reeve were familiar with the theosophists, who also were explorers and chroniclers of other dimensions, influenced by their travels in Tibet and India. In fact, there is a long tradition of a multi-dimensional worldview in Buddhism and Hinduism, and records of ancient spacecraft. This kind of evidence makes it harder to dismiss disappearing UFOs as illusory or "not real". For me, advanced Calculus, and (forgive me) sports statistics are babble; not a language I speak, but just because it is unfamiliar to me and I don't understand it does not mean it is false or without value. I found this book a treasure of insight, and especially the parts identified by another reviewer as "babble." The authors and their cohorts; Adamski, van Tassel, G.H. Williamson and others, had a deep understanding of the subject that I had no idea was so widely present in those years. They've been muted, but not forever. These people were ahead of their time, courageous pioneers and visionaries, and they have left a trail that many are already following. From my worldview, this book is a classic.

Yet another complete reference library in one book.

Conway's All the World's Fighting Ships 1922-1946 is the third in a series of 4 books which, as the title suggests, lists all the worlds fighting ships built during the period in question. Initially, these were post-WW1 years in which some countries favoured disarmament whilst others harboured expansionist plans. This was also a time when the Aircraft Carrier would totally eclipse the mighty Battleship as "King of the Seas." Eventually, the advent of WW2 and the way in which the USA entered that war added a whole new dimension to warship design and production.

Conway Maritime Press are well known for their factual books on ships - especially warships, in which they provide the finest technical documentation. "All the World's Fighting Ships 1922-1946" is hard-back measuring 12�" x 8�" with 456 pages of detailed and factual information. After a brief foreword and an explanation of abbreviations used, the navies of the world are listed by country in order of their size and importance at the beginning of the period in question - i.e. Great Britain and Empire Forces, USA, Japan, Germany, etc and continuing right down to the world's smallest navies from the Middle East, Far East and Latin America. Each country's ships are then displayed by "class" commencing with the largest capital ships and progressing all the way down to the smallest torpedo boats (or whatever) with the oldest vessels mentioned first. For each class there is one or more of those profile line drawings which have become Conway's trademark. These are followed by all the usual technical details such as; Displacement, dimensions, machinery, armour, armament and complement followed by the names of each ship within that class - it's builder, date laid down, date completed and fate. These are accompanied by a very "readable" text from which we learn of the political intrigue of the day, variations between vessels, refits, new equipment, whatever defects or other problems beset either the class or a specific ship and a short r�sum� of the fate of each vessel.

Altogether, the book is well illustrated with an excellent selection of historic black and white original photographs throughout with at least one picture on almost every page.

In summary, this is an excellent technical work of reference and one which will continue to stand the test of time. Put another way, this is one of those books you will wish you had bought - after it becomes out of print.

This weighty tome may appear to be more useful as some sort of murder weapon (blunt force trauma I think the TV shows call it) but.... wow.

A book as dense on statistics as it's size would indicate this thing is replete with ship histories, vital (and non vital) stats and a whole heapin' helpin' of line drawings and photographs that make this an excellent reference work for naval historians, naval wargamers and modellers. The barrage of raw data will have your inner pedantic whinger fully satisfied and given it covers a fairly important era (WW2 - duh) is the sort of thing that the general armchair general may also very well like on their bookshelf along with the other volumes in this series. If your bookshelf and your wallet can take the collective strain that is.

Overall this is the sort of book none of your friends can afford but that they'll all want to flick through when they come over. A fine, fine reference work that belongs on every naval buffs collection.

Elizabeth Raum has written over two-dozen nonfiction books for young readers, including a biography of Louis Armstrong for Capstone Press. She also has written picture books and adult nonfiction titles. She has degrees in English literature and library science. Over the years, she has worked as a middle school and high school English teacher, an elementary school librarian, and a college library director. She loves to read and enjoys helping other readers discover great books. Elizabeth Raum has written many nonfiction books for children. She has also written picture books and books for adults. All investors-experienced or new- should read this book and have this knowledge to get the biggest bang for their buck. Simple and concrete ways to create wealth-without risk. Just like the title says. Jack Miller's books are the best! Opens new doors. Well worth the read. Don't miss it!

The smartest guy in real estate who ever lived. I knew him well since 1979, attended all his seminars, and bought all his books. I lived nearby and we spoke confidentially and privately many times over the years. At one time he kept this information very private and exclusive, only available to people at his live seminars or newsletter subscribers. Towards the last couple years of his life, he made a deal to put his information on an Internet website and record some of his seminars. In his earliest seminars, you would get all the implementing documents and have had the tactics and strategies clearly explained by the Master. So it may have limited usefulness unless you're a truly advanced real estate investor. These mini books were printed for his subscribers and seminar attendees originally so it was easy to be on the same page.

There wasn't anyone remotely like Jack before him, during his time, or since.
