Wish this was my 1st Cable Book Purchase

I taught myself to knit in September of 2011.My collection of cable knitting books is quite extensive. How I wish this would of been my first cable knitting book purchase. I question everything & was just not finding the answers. Oh how this book answers the questions to the Hows and Why's that Many books don't!!
Patterns are charted as well as written to please both sides of the knitters brain. Pictures are black and white but big & clear. My problem with other cable books were there just weren't enough Large cables, or were only written or only charted, if you need to understand cables or desire changing cables or knitting unique cables, that's hard to do with just written instructions. Cables start from small to the largest being 44 stitches wide.
There's always something I want to change concerning cables & I LOVE that this Handbook teaches you how but more clearly helps you understand why..Her Cables are so impressive that I can honestly say I had more trouble choosing a cable because everyone is like eye candy. Gosh I cant wait to buy Annie Maloneys Mastering Lacework Handbook.
This book perfectly titled "The Cable Knitters Handbook" has truly been my go to book.I loved it so much that this is my first book review so please forgive the length. It will please the beginner to the most experienced cable knitter alike. If you want to know how to knit an incredible cable,alter a cable,offset a cable, repeat a cable, create your own cable,which ribbing looks best with what ever cable you choose,and most importantly understanding cables, this is "my" and will be "your" how-to go-to book.
Every Sweater & Afghan knitter should own this book.The wealth of knowledge within this 95 page Handbook has been essential for my growth as a beginner.That alone makes the price so worth it..I've wasted 10 times that on books that were a complete and utter let down.
Everyone tells me for a beginner how great I'm doing..It's because a book like this answers my questions.Beginners have a lot of questions & many Authors are so experienced they skip over what they feel is most obvious, Annie doesn't take that chance & doesn't assume anything. This book is a teacher. I also appreciated that pages weren't wasted on HOW TO knit & purl. I've all ready got this Spiraled cable handbook worn out so bad that i have to purchase another except the next one I'll have the pages laminated, that's HONESTLY how much i use it.

Great book!! Gorgeous cable patterns, charted AND written instructions....very helpful for chart reading challenged people like me. If you're looking for a book with truly different, unique cable patterns, this is it.
