Camp X was the first secret agent training camp ever to be built in North America. This book has rightly attained the status of a classic work in intelligence history. The special operations training at Canada's Camp X superseded in importance the too-often vacuous and over-trumpeted intelligence plotting taking place in New York and Washington, D.C. The secrecy attending that training for decades obscured its significance, and Dr Stafford is to be commended for restoring the balance.
