About the Author
Steven Herrick was born in Brisbane, the youngest of seven children. At school his favourite subject was soccer, and he dreamed of football glory while he worked at various jobs, including fruit picking. For the past twenty years he's been a full-time writer of books for children and teenagers, and he visits many schools each year both in Australia and overseas.Steven lives in the Blue Mountains with his wife, Cathie. They have two adult sons, Jack and Joe.

Excellent book for reluctant readers

This book is beautifully written in a form that is quick and easy to read. Boys and girls will be amused, and, also be able to see the themes of friendship, loss, and the importance of "paying it forward". I would recommend it as a teaching tool or just for fun.

A heart warming read

This book took me back to my childhood. It also made me cry and then laugh all within a few pages. I recommend this to readers of any age group because it has some beautiful messages that we all need reminding of sometimes.
